When I see an unusual email or blog “name” I wonder about the story behind the “name.” Some examples in my address list are: bleedgreen, jadespirit, stageit, starscape, feedpanthers, and dunpayn. Some are easy to figure out. Others are more difficult, leading me to ask what influenced that particular word-number combination.
In that same vein, several people have asked, “How did you come up with energywriter?” Easy, actually. You know that I’m a writer, or at least I think I am. But energy, why?
I have studied and practiced energy healing since 2000. For years before that I suffered with fibromyalgia and those “itis” brothers. You know who I mean – arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis. Several people suggested that I learn how to do self-Reiki to ease my pain. I said, “I’ll check on it,” and continue taking pain pills. Of course, nothing changed. I continued to complain and feel helpless.
In 2000 Son took a Reiki course and asked if he could practice on me. As he worked I felt an energy spiral running from my sacrum to the top of my head. At the same time I saw a rainbow of colors. When he finished, I said, “Sign me up for the next class.” He did and I was running toward a new way of life including physical activities I’d had to bypass for several years and new ones such as volksmarches (5 or 10 kilometer organized walks).
Even though we learned how to treat ourselves in the first level, I yearned for something that could help others also. I continued studying level 2, master practitioner, even master teacher. These classes were not inexpensive, but worth every dollar. I learned how to treat people and pets. Even better, I learned how to treat long distance.
As I traveled this road I learned about other healing modalities, such as body talk, healing touch, cranial-sacral, aroma therapy and many others – all fascinating. I have experimented with Reconnection and Quantum Touch and am hoping to earn a certificate to practice Transfigura-Regeneration, a Belgian modality.
What does all this have to do with energy? Everything is energy. Even what we perceive as solid is moving energy. If you doubt this, and easy way to learn is by reading Greg Braden’s books. He translates complex scientific facts as presented by Albert Einstein, Nicolai Tesla and Max Planck.
How does this work? Well, that’s harder to explain. Since all energy comes from Source/Universe/God, it is everywhere and available to everyone. A practitioner asks to be a clear channel for Universal energy to flow through her to the client. The practitioner never asks for a specific outcome, rather intends that the energy will be used for the client’s highest good.
Why so many different modalities? Basically, they all work the same: intention and free flowing Universal energy. The difference is the methodology used and the client’s needs. Each practitioner finds the healing style that suits him. And, sometimes a client needs to try different modalities before healing takes place.
I know that sounds contrary. If they are all similar, why doesn’t one work as well as the next. Each person has a different energy vibration and she needs to find a healing method that resonates with her body.
I hope this answers your questions about energy healing. If not please contact me for further explanation at firstname.lastname@example.org
